Cursed Graveyard is a 3D PC game prototype that I made in Unreal Engine.
It is a short first-person game in which you have to survive several rounds of hoards of ghosts which increase in number with each round. Cast spells and collect magic and health potions!
This project began as an experiment/learning exercise in UE4, which I eventually developed into a fully playable prototype with carefully designed gameplay and mechanics. All of the art, including 3D art, HUD/UI and VFX, is original and was made by myself using Autodesk Maya, Photoshop and UE4's in-engine tools. This project has been a valuable learning exercise and has helped me to develop my UE4 skills in everything from gameplay design and Blueprinting to environment art and HUD/UI design. I am particularly happy with the environment art and the overall atmosphere that I created.
I also took the playable prototype along to a "North West Playtesters" meet-up and presented it to a few people there, receiving some decent feedback and experiencing the process of making a deliverable playable build to a deadline.
